Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to oversee Business Development and Sales for a leading CDMO and Fine Chemicals organization. This role involves managing existing customers, acquiring new accounts, and expanding market reach to drive significant sales growth within the Americas region. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the specialty chemicals market and a proven track record of developing high-value partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop business opportunities for existing products.
  • Identify and plan for new products in the specialty chemicals segment.
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to create business plans for emerging products, applications, and markets.
  • Manage customer accounts and relationships effectively.
  • Understand client requirements and align organizational capabilities to meet these needs.
  • Build pipelines for new business engagements with current and prospective clients.
  • Secure new RFPs and negotiate multi-year contracts.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets for business development activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, Product Management, or Key Account Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the chemical, pharmaceutical, and agrochemical markets.
  • Proven ability to achieve high-value contracts and expand market reach.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to convert ideas into viable business opportunities.
  • Expertise in managing global customers and accessing Pharma and Agro Chemical Innovator companies.
  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary areas, including market trends, technical aspects, and commercial dynamics.
  • High level of interpersonal and people management skills.

Additional Information:

  • Current Business Scale: $10M USD, targeting $125M over the next 5 years.
  • Remote work with travel across the U.S. and occasional trips to India; attendance at trade fairs as needed.
